16th October 2009

Happy Bloody Friday! A happy World Food Day too, and a happy 154th birthday to Oscar Wilde! Did you know that a standard Dairy Milk contains about half the caffeine content of a can of Red Bull, yet has double the calories? And that there are over 2700 languages in the world (the youngest is Afrikaans), excluding dialects?

This week's Quiz For A Pint - why is a hamburger called a hamburger, if it contains no ham? Last week's QFAP answer is goat (although there has been much debate over it...)!

Sad news about Stephen Gately. But no tasteless jokes from me for a change. I mean - no matter what - it's only words!
Weather this weekend - highs of 13, nice 'n' dry.
